It was an up-and-down rookie year for the big man from Brazil. He started off the season looking like a great pickup for Boston, but ended the year riding the pine.

He only appeared in 37 games, but in those 37 he looked like one of the better rookie centers. Now one must keep in mind that he already is 25 and may not have much time to develop, but at 6’11”, his size makes up for it. Faverani isn’t the best shooter for a big man, but what sets him apart from most is his ability to step out from the paint and shoot. Having him next to Jared Sullinger could be a strong offensive duo, and Vitor could still compete with Kelly Olynyk for minutes at the center spot. As mentioned before, Boston doesn’t have the deepest bench as far as big men, and Vitor would be an extremely valuable addition.

Verdict: Bring him back.
