Age: 29

2013-14 Stats: 19.9 minutes, 8.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 0.9 blocks, 18.28 PER

Despite being grossly overpaid last season ($12 million) Kris was one of the Celtics best bench players. he also made 30 spot starts at the power forward and center positions, helping to keep Boston afloat when he could. His 18.28 PER is an amazing number considering he was mostly a bench player. In fact, he led the Celtics in PER, proving his value.

Humphries had 4.1 win shares in 2013-14, and 2.3 offensive win shares. Quietly, he may have been the Celtics’ most valuable player this year. He may not be Boston fans’ favorite player, but he’s a better player than meets the eye. This Celtics squad doesn’t have a whole lot of depth at the big man position behind Jared Sullinger, and bringing back Humphries would be a no-brainer move.

Verdict: Bring him back.
