2012 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals

Derrick Rose missed 27 games that season due to multiple injuries, but he was healthy by the time the playoffs began.

The Bulls clinched the top seed in the conference for the second straight year, but it would be for nothing as it turned out.

In Game 1 against the Philadelphia 76ers, Derrick Rose tore the ACL in his left knee—forcing him to miss the rest of the playoffs and the next season as well.

Without its top scorer and facilitator on the floor, Chicago dropped three of the first four contests and eventually bowed out in six games.

Hmm….it seems like a familiar theme is beginning to unfold here.
