Louis Williams is one of the most explosive offensive players in the NBA. For that reason, he has long thrived coming off the bench in a sixth man role. This season, returning from a torn ACL, Williams didn’t quite perform to his high standards, but he has improved as the season has gone on.

In this series, with rotations shortened, Williams minutes have been cut back to an average of 19.4 per game. In that time he has been contributing 8.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals. Although his shooting has been below average, 37.1 percent from the field and 30 percent from 3, his 92.9 percent free throw shooting makes him invaluable late in games.

Williams has done his share to help his team so far in this series, and although he hasn’t yet had a big game, there’s every chance it could come when it really matters.
