Season Averages: 2.4 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 0.3 APG, 0.2 SPG, FG% 35.1, 3PT%  17.9, FT% 80.0

When the signing of Datome was announced last summer, there was a genuine sense of excitement among Pistons fans. No one was expecting LeBron James or Kevin Durant, but with word from Europe indicating Datome was an accomplished 3-point shooter, a player in the style of Marco Belinelli didn’t seem too much of a stretch, though. Instead, Datome has shot less than 18 percent from behind the arc and contributed little else in a thoroughly disappointing first season.

In need of improving: Pretty much everything. If Gigi can regain the sort of form he had in Europe, and even produce half of the numbers he did then, he would be a valuable bench player next season.

Grade: D-
