Starting with Drummond unfortunately does mean that things will go downhill fast from here. Drummond is undoubtedly the shining light of the Pistons season, and indeed their future. After starting only 10 games last season, the 20-year-old started all but one this season. He’s a walking double-double, and exactly the sort of centerpiece that every struggling team dreams of building around.

In need of improving: The obvious one is his free throws. In order for teams not to employ “hack-a-Dre” tactics in the future, he needs to up his percentage by more than 20 points to the mid-60s. His impact on defense should also improve, Drummond had a defensive rating of 108.6 this season, which was third worst on the team.
