Atlanta Hawks Weekly: Momentum And The Lead
By Adam McGee
Milwaukee Bucks – Wednesday, April 16 (BMO Harris Bradley Center, Milwaukee)
The Hawks visited Milwaukee to close out the regular season, and their starting lineup began to take a more familiar feel again too. Wary of his starters losing sharpness ahead of the playoffs, Budenholzer returned to his regular unit, with the exception of Millsap who was resting because of a finger injury.
The game had a sense off nobody wanting to get hurt about it, as the first quarter was almost completely absent of defense on both sides. The Bucks got out to a quick 39-29 lead with that strong first period but it would be all Atlanta from that point on.
With none of the Hawks regular starters playing more than 22 minutes, the responsibility lay with the Hawks bench to prove they were capable of grabbing a W, and they were up to the task. Mike Muscala had his best game as a professional, while Mike Scott and Cartier Martin were big contributors also. The Hawks finished the regular season with a victory, 111-103.
