Mario Chalmers has two championship rings, maybe even three by the time he hits the market, but there is no question that he is incredibly under-appreciated in Miami. The point guard is the glamour position of the NBA, as quarterback is in the NFL, yet Chalmers wouldn’t make most people’s top 10 lists. The 27-year-old has proven himself to be a capable player, but due to sharing ball-handling duties with the best player in the world, LeBron James, he rarely gets praised.

Chalmers is averaging 9.8 points and 4.9 assists in less than 30 minutes a night, and with more responsibility, his numbers could improve in another city. Chalmers would be a good option for the Pistons, as he’s a much more level-headed shooter than Brandon Jennings, and would bring a winning mentality to the locker room. There’s every chance that the Heat will allow Chalmers to move on, with Norris Cole in position to take his place, and the possibility of drafting a point guard like Shabazz Napier in the upcoming draft.
