Detroit Pistons: 10 Players To Target in Free Agency
By Adam McGee
Shaun Livingston
Guard Shaun Livingston, 28, has had an excellent season as an unexpected contributor to a strong Brooklyn Nets team. Livingston is an exceptional talent who’s career has suffered due to horrible misfortune. Back in 2007, as a 21-year-old, Livingston suffered one of the worst knee injuries the NBA has ever seen. No one expected him to return, never mind as the player he was, but this season Livingston has quietly regained his game.
This season, Livingston has set new career highs in minutes and points, as a vital part of the Nets rotation. Livingston is equally adept at starting or coming off the bench, and his 6’7″ frame means he can play either of the guard positions. His season averages of 8.3 points, 3.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals show, that Livingston could offer the perfect complement or alternative to Jennings. His role could be very similar to the one the Pistons anticipated Chauncey Billups having for this year’s group.
