Detroit Pistons: 10 Players To Target in Free Agency
By Adam McGee
Kyle Lowry
Beyond Miami’s “Big Three” and Carmelo Anthony, no other free agent is likely to garner as much attention as Kyle Lowry will this summer. The spotlight is deserved, as Lowry has been a key component of a Raptors team that confounded the odds, and looks likely to claim the No. 3 seed in the playoffs. Lowry has had a career year as he has scored, assisted, rebounded and shot the 3-pointer better than ever.
Lowry was arguably the biggest All-Star snub in the East, and with averages of 17.9 points, 7.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds, it won’t be long until he realizes that goal. The Raptors will likely be keen to retain Lowry and keep building on this season’s success, but there’s no knowing what the playoffs could do to the value of Lowry’s next contract. Detroit is, in truth, an unlikely landing spot for the 28-year-old, but if a new general manager decided to move away from Brandon Jennings, Lowry would be a great choice.
