Playing the Bulls in the United Center can often be a daunting prospect. Tom Thibodeau’s Chicago team, in particular, has a knack for grinding teams down with stifling defense, and almost forcing the opposition into submission.

During the first half of this one, it appeared as if the tables had turned though. The Pistons looked fully engaged, and were playing outstanding basketball on both ends of the floor. They held the Bulls to only 38 first half points, while posting 56 of their own. This was in no small part down to the incredible work of Andre Drummond who finished the night with an incredible 26 points and 26 rebounds.

Unfortunately, for Pistons fans the second half would offer up a familiar story though. With the lead having been cut back to only ten points in the third, the Pistons were then outscored by 18 in the final period to lose by eight. This marked the 13th time this season that the Pistons have lost in spite of holding a lead entering the fourth quarter.
