Jared Sullinger hit a pair of free throws with 2.5 seconds left and Jannero Pargo missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer as the Celtics dropped Charlotte to seventh place in the East. The win snapped a nine-game losing streak for Boston. Avery Bradley led the Celtics with 22 points, Sullinger had 20 and Brandon Bass and Jeff Green had 18 points each. Phil Pressey added 10 points, 13 assists and three steals. Al Jefferson scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bobcats, Josh McRoberts had 10 assists and Luke Ridnour and Pargo snared three steals each.
Atlanta Hawks 93, BROOKLYN NETS 88
The Hawks moved a step closer to the Eastern Conference’s final playoff berth and snapped Brooklyn’s 15-game home court winning streak in the process. Atlanta scored the final six points of the game after the Nets went up 88-87 with 2:22 to go. Paul Millsap had 27 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks and Jeff Teague scored 22 points. Elton Brand blocked four shots and DeMarre Carroll ripped down 11 boards. Mason Plumlee had 17 points for the Nets. Kevin Garnett got 10 rebounds.
