January 12, 2014: At Sacramento Kings, 124-80

It’s painful to lose to anyone by 44 points, but to do it against the 12-22 Sacramento Kings turns a painful lose into an utterly embarrassing one.  Isaiah Thomas lit up the Cavaliers to the tune of 22 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.  Not only that, but the diminutive point guard held Kyrie Irving to one of the worst nights of his professional career.  Irving took 14 shots to score just seven points…and finished with an awful -29.  His back-up, Jarrett Jack, didn’t fair much better finishing with a -28.

Unless the Cavaliers put up another awful performance in the last two weeks of the season, the lose against the Kings will go down as their largest defeat of the season.
