The Atlanta Hawks came into this week, the busiest week of their entire schedule, off the back of two good weeks. After a long spell of drought the previous month, the Hawks had won five of their last six, and their playoff spot seemed almost assured. Fast forward to today, and in the aftermath of the five games in seven days spell, the outlook is very different

The week opened up in the Air Canada Center for an early tip-off against the Raptors. The following night, the Hawks found themselves back home to face the fast paced Phoenix Suns, who themselves are fighting for the eight seed in the other conference. On Wednesday, the Hawks paid a trip to the Twin Cities for their sole meeting with the Timberwolves in Minneapolis in the season. After that one, it was back home again, with the Portland Trailblazers the visitors on this occasion. Finally, the week came to it’s conclusion in the nation’s capital as the Wizards played the hosts in Washington.

The Hawks finished the week at 0-5, as they set up a tense final ten games of the season.
