Coming off their huge win over Miami, the Pacers fell flat, trailing by 18 after three quarters in a loss to the Wizards, who never trailed. John Wall scored 20 points for Washington and Marcin Gortat finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Paul George led Indiana with 19 points—on 6-of-22 shooting—and had three steals. Lance Stephenson finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds and Roy Hibbert blocked five shots.
BROOKLYN NETS 108, Cleveland Cavaliers 97
Paul Pierce scored 17 points in the first quarter and the Nets closed in on a playoff berth with their 12th straight win at Barclays Center. Brooklyn’s bench outscored Cleveland’s 48-18 and the Nets are now an Eastern Conference-best 28-12 since the New Year. Pierce finished with 22 points, Mirza Teletovic grabbed 10 rebounds, Shaun Livingston had three steals and Mason Plumlee blocked three shots. Luol Deng and Dion Waiters had 20 points each for the Cavaliers, Spencer Hawes added 16 and Anderson Varejao snagged 13 rebounds.
