Gary Harris (SG) – Michigan State

Harris is one of many Michigan State Spartans with NBA potential, but he is undoubtedly the most complete of the lot. At 6’4″, Harris offers a dynamic presence from the 2 guard spot. With a strong build and plenty of energy, Harris can be a contributor in a variety of scenarios on both ends of the court.

The 19-year-old followed in the footsteps of the likes of Oscar Robertson and Glenn Robinson coming out of high school with the title of “Indiana Mr. Basketball.” Now a sophomore, Harris returned to Michigan State this season due to an insatiable desire to win a national championship. Although staying an extra year represents an exceptional risk, his winning mentality has made him a favorite of legendary Spartans coach Tom Izzo, and will likely attract attention from NBA scouts.

Harris can score the ball by taking it to the hole and finishing above the rim, just as easily as he can spot up and shoot the jumper. His awareness and quick hands on the court, make him a defensive pest also, and the ideal presence to build a new Pistons identity with.
