Daily NBA Fix 3-10-14: Tough Day To Be One Of The NBA’s Elite

James Harden scored 17 points in the fourth quarter as the Rockets rallied from 12 points down to force overtime. Harden tied the game with eight seconds left, canning a 3-pointer to cap Houston’s late rally. Harden finished with 41 points, 10 rebounds and six steals, Jeremy Lin added 26 points, Dwight Howard had 17 points and 12 boards and Chandler Parsons scored 16 points. LaMarcus Aldridge led the Blazers with 28 points and 12 rebounds, Wesley Matthews scored 26 points and Damian Lillard tossed in 21 but committed seven turnovers before fouling out. Robin Lopez logged 11 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks, Mo Williams had a double-double with 10 points and 11 assists and Nicolas Batum grabbed 12 boards.

BROOKLYN NETS 104, Sacramento Kings 89
Former King Marcus Thornton torched his former team for 27 points—15 in the fourth quarter—as the Nets won for the fifth time in six games despite losing both Paul Pierce and Andrei Kirilenko to injuries. Pierce played just one minute before leaving with a shoulder injury and Kirilenko sprained his ankle in the third quarter. Brooklyn led throughout, getting up by as much as 23. Joe Johnson added 18 points for the Nets. DeMarcus Cousins had 28 points and 20 rebounds and Rudy Gay scored 20 points for the Kings, who committed 25 turnovers.
