Derrick Rose

Before all of Chicagoland comes after me, hear me out a bit. Rose spent a lot of time on the sidelines getting healed up from his previous injury, so we had to expect there would be some growing pains as he worked himself back into game shape. The speed of a NBA game can’t be duplicated, so the fact that he struggled wasn’t a surprise.

The fact that he injured himself in another way, after putting up a shooting line of .354/.340/.844, now that’s a surprise. This was supposed to be his triumphant return. It was supposed to be the full-strength Chicago squad that could challenge the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference. Instead, Rose and his 10.0 PER is out for the season (again) and the Bulls can only wonder what could have been,
