Best of the Week-Players

1. Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas Mavericks
Dirk was named to his 12th All-Star team and showed why he was a deserving choice with a huge week for the Mavericks, averaging 31.7 points, 10 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 58.9 percent overall and 45.5 percent from 3-point land. Throw in the perfect 24-for-24 from the line and he earns an official “not bad.”

2. Andre Drummond, Detroit Pistons
The Pistons have been wildly inconsistent all season, but Drummond had a big week. He averaged 15.7 points, 14.3 rebounds, three blocks and 1.3 steals while shooting 83.3 percent. Yes, 83.3 percent—he was 20-for-24 on the week. And, hey, he even made more than half of his free throws (7-for-13). Baby steps.

3. Goran Dragic, Phoenix Suns
The Suns remain alive in the playoff hunt without Eric Bledsoe. The reason for that is simple: Goran Dragic. The crafty lefty (wait, this isn’t baseball!) averaged 27.7 points, 5.7 assists and four rebounds while shooting 62.5 percent last week, including 66.7 percent from 3-point range, and a solid 85 percent at the line.
