Game of the Week

Los Angeles Clippers at Denver Nuggets, Monday, Feb. 3
The Nuggets got back Ty Lawson on Monday night, relieving Randy Foye of the point guard duties.

(I’m going to let that sink in for a moment … Randy Foye… point guard.)

(I said, Randy Foye … point guard).

(And there it is … the appropriate shocked response I was waiting for).

Moving right along, Foye was the hero Monday night, canning a 3-pointer at the buzzer to beat the Clips to get back to .500 after losing two games in a row. Kenneth Faried was a man(imal) for Denver, with 28 points on just 13 shots (11-for-13) and 11 rebounds to offset a huge night by All-Star Blake Griffin, who had 36 points and 11 boards.

Lawson, well rested after missing four straight games with a shoulder injury, played 45 minutes and scored 27 points and J.J. Hickson had 17 points and 12 boards.

DeAndre Jordan and Jamal Crawford scored 19 apiece for L.A., with Jordan recording his 28th consecutive double-digit rebounding game with a dozen boards.

Jordan was also 5-for-6 from the foul line.

Which could only mean the apocalypse is nigh.
