ATLANTA HAWKS 120, Minnesota Timberwolves 113
Kyle Korver scored 24 points, including three 3-pointers in a third-period stretch that gave Atlanta the lead. The Hawks took control in the quarter by outscoring Minnesota 38-21. Paul Millsap added 20 points, 13 rebounds and three steals, while DeMarre Carroll and Jeff Teague each scored 19 points. Kevin Love had 43 points and 19 rebounds in a losing cause, while Kevin Martin scored 17 points and Ricky Rubio dished out 11 assists and had five steals. Ronny Turiaf logged five blocks.

 

DETROIT PISTONS 113, Philadelphia 76ers 96
The 76ers were without Rookie of the Year frontrunner Michael Carter-Williams and the Pistons made them pay. Andre Drummond had 22 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks for Detroit, while Greg Monroe went for 21 points, 12 boards and four steals. Brandon Jennings scored 20 points and Kyle Singler had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, as well. Josh Smith nabbed four steals. Tony Wroten scored 18 points for Philadelphia, Evan Turner and Elliot Williams each had 15 points and Thaddeus Young scored 14 points to go with five steals.
