Horns and Scorns

Horns

  • Joakim Noah has now had double-digit rebounds in 16 straight games. It is the longest such streak for the Bulls since Dennis Rodman did it in a franchise-record 43 straight games from Nov. 23, 1996 through March 25, 1997.
  • D.J. Augustin has scored at least 27 points in three of Chicago’s last four games, including a season-high 28 Saturday in Charlotte, where he played from 2008-12.
  • Carlos Boozer has scored in double-digits in the last nine games he’s played.

Scorns

  • Noah allowed 18 points on 11 contested shots at the rim against the Clippers on Friday, well above his season average of 42.6 percent shooting allowed.
  • The 41 points the Clippers scored Friday night were the most surrendered in any quarter by the Bulls this season, while the 112 points allowed was the second-most they’ve allowed in regulation this year. The Clips also have that distinction, ringing up 121 points on Nov. 24 in L.A.
  • Jimmy Butler continues to struggle offensively. Despite getting a team-high 43.8 minutes per game last week, Butler averaged only nine points on 15-for-53 shooting (28.3 percent), including 2-for-18 (11.1 percent) from 3-point distance.
