Memphis Grizzlies 88, HOUSTON ROCKETS 87
Chandler Parsons set an NBA record with his 10 second-half 3-pointers, but it was the Grizz who escaped with the win. Mike Miller committed an offensive foul with 8.3 seconds left to give the ball to Houston down one, but Patrick Beverley airballed a potential game-winning 3 under heavy pressure. Courtney Lee led Memphis with 19 points and Zach Randolph added 15, while Parsons finished with 34 for Houston. Dwight Howard had 11 points and 12 rebounds and James Harden scored 10 points and dished 13 assists, but was a woeful 2-for-11 from the floor. Every Rocket not named “Chandler Parsons” combined to shoot 22-for-62 and 4-for-30 from 3-point land. Live by it, die by it.

Washington Wizards 101, PHOENIX SUNS 95
Bradley Beal made a couple of big shots down the stretch and the Wizards got back to .500—uhhhh-gain. Beal’s 3-ball with 2:03 remaining put Washington up to stay and he helped seal it with a 15-footer that put the Wiz up 99-95 in the final 30 seconds. Trevor Ariza had 23 points for Washington, John Wall added 18 points and 12 assists, Nene Hilario also scored 18 and Beal had 17. Goran Dragic had 19 points and 11 dimes for the Suns and Channing Frye scored 16, but the Suns got destroyed on the glass, 44-30.
