1. Since 1984, the only player to lead the league in points scored and win the NBA title in the same year is Michael Jordon. What does this stat indicate? Scoring in high amounts during the regular season takes a major toll on a player’s body. Additionally it suggests that teams with the NBA’s leading scoring might be too one dimensional on the offense end to win a NBA title.
