Andrew Bynum was undoubtedly one of the better scoring centers in the NBA-when he had his head on his shoulders. Do the Thunder really need help scoring the basketball? Not when the leading NBA scorer is on your team in Kevin Durant. Durant is leading the third ranked offense in the association. At the moment, with Westbrook out, Durant in enduring a harder workload. Once the sixth year man out of UCLA returns from surgery, Durant can go back to a normal role. Westbrook is the catalyst of the team. His 21 points and seven assists per game are impossible to replace. So expecting Bynum-who is not even in top form- to help replace Westbrook’s scoring in unrealistic.
