Balanced Scoring:

What’s interesting about Phoenix winning four of its last five games is not a single player is averaging even 16 points per game. But other than one lackluster effort against the Warriors (Phoenix’s first blowout loss of the season),  the Suns have continued to rack up wins with numerous players stepping up on a nightly basis. In their last five games, the Suns have six players averaging double digits in the scoring column and Channing Frye and P.J. Tucker aren’t far behind at nine points and 8.4 points per game, respectively.

That means Phoenix has eight rotation players that are averaging anywhere between Tucker’s 8.4 points and Bledsoe’s 15.6 points per game. That’s the kind of balanced production that exemplifies why the Suns’ offense is so hard for defenses to guard. On any given night, someone is going to step up and surprise the defense, which epitomizes the team as a whole this year. With Bledsoe and Dragic attacking pick and rolls, a ton of pick and pop options and multiple corner 3-point threats, Phoenix’s offense is thriving under Jeff Hornacek.
