Celtics Survive – Hey, this is the Eastern Conference, remember? The Celtics survived a furious comeback by the Cavaliers, getting outscored 34-18 in the fourth quarter to hang on for the victory. Jeff Green and Jordan Crawford led six Celtics in double figures with 19 each, with Avery Bradley adding 18. Kyrie Irving scored 32 points, with Tyler Zeller adding 10 rebounds off the bench.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS 106, Detroit Pistons 82

You Miss, You Lose – The Wizards didn’t do anything particularly well, aside from being slightly less sloppy, but the fact they could convert on their jumpers was the difference. The Wiz shot 50 percent as a team, with John Wall scoring 20 points with 11 assists. The Wizards never trailed and led by 28 at one point. The Pistons shot 40.3 percent, with Greg Monroe leading the team with just 14 points.

INDIANA PACERS 105, Brooklyn Nets 91

All Together Now – One of the biggest strengths of this Pacers team is their ability to play within the offense to make things happen. They got 24 from Paul George, 23 from Lance Stephenson and 21 from George Hill, as they beat up the Nets. They also rebounded as a team, pulling in 41 to the Nets’ 28. The Nets got 18 from Paul Pierce, but they were outclassed and outmatched by the second-best team in the East.
