Monday, Dec. 23 vs. Pistons, Loss 115-92

Here, the defense collapsed, giving the Pistons an easy win in Cleveland. Detroit dominated all game, shooting 47.9 percent from the field, while also controlling the glass, outrebounding the Cavs 50-39. Seven Pistons reached double digures, and Brandon Jennings, Greg Monroe, and Andre Drummond all posted double-doubles.

The Cavaliers never managed to establish a rhythm on offense that would make up for their defensive shortcomings. They shot 38.6 percent from the field and turned the ball over 19 times. Irving led the team with 21 points, going 50 percent from the floor. Thompson, Anderson Varejao, and Jarrett Jack also reached double figures, but their efforts were not enough to make this game close.
