The shorthanded Bulls have played poorly since the crushing loss of Derrick Rose for the season. Still, the Bulls’ starting five, plus sixth man Taj Gibson, all managed to score in double figures against the Cavs, decisively handing the Cavs their 12th road loss in 14 games. Chicago also drilled 10-of-15 3-point attempts.
Andrew Bynum led the Cavaliers with 19 points on 9-of-15 shooting in the losing effort, also snagging seven rebounds. As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 40 percent from the field, and, unlike the game against the Bucks, they could not make up for their poor shooting with free throws; they attempted just nine all game.
