Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs (8 PM ET)

Nov 30, 2013; San Antonio, TX, USA; San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan (21) defends against Houston Rockets forward Dwight Howard (12) during the first quarter at the AT

This battle of two Western Conference powerhouses will surely be a great matchup. Houston has been a bit slow of late going .500 in their last 10 games but have one of the best home records in the conference at 11-4. Dwight Howard has shown promising progression in his low post game, posting higher point totals while remaining one of the best defenders in the league. The Spurs have been great this season, as they have been for the last 15 years. Tim Duncan seems ageless and Tony Parker continues to dazzle with his ability to finish around the rim with incredible consistency. This game will ultimately come down to defense. The Spurs surrender only 95.3 points per game, which ranks fourth in the league; the Rockets, on the other hand, give up over 102 points per game and rank No. 23rd in the league. If the Spurs can perform as the always to defensively, it will be very difficult for the Rockets to emerge victorious.
