Daily NBA Fix 12-22-13: Thunder Top The West
Goose Egg Award (awarded to player with most minutes and zero points)
Ekpe Udoh isn’t known as an offensive force, so having him as our Goose Egg winner isn’t a big shock. It wasn’t that bad of a game, either. He played 25:37, missed his only shot attempt, but had seven rebounds, two assists and five blocks.
Clean and Sober Award (most minutes without taking a shot)
Phil Pressey wanted to be a point guard, huh? Apparently he doesn’t intend to do a whole lot of scoring, because, you know, you can’t score if you don’t attempt a single shot. Pressey played 13:46 without attempting a shot, with five assists and a steal.
Iron Man Award (most minutes played)
D.J. Augustin has shown he can be a quality point guard, if not a bit inconsistent. He was “good” D.J. last night, playing 46:24, while scoring 18 points with five rebounds, 10 assists and two steals. He shot 7-for-12 from the field and 4-for-6 from the 3-point line.
