We’ve seen Joel Freeland on this list before, although this time looks a bit more impressive. He played 27:14 without scoring a single point, in a game in which his team scored 119 of them. You’d think he’d get an offensive rebound and a put-back or something.
Clean and Sober Award (most minutes without taking a shot)
Another double winner here, with Freeland taking home the award. It’s doubly impressive considering his 27:14 without even taking a shot. He had seven rebounds, including five offensive, so you’d think he’d be near the bucket and would get fouled or something. Nope.
Iron Man Award (most minutes played)
Coaches had the quicker hook on Tuesday, as Kevin Durant took home the Iron Man award by playing 37:52. He did score 30 points in what turned out to be a blowout and that was in the thin air in Denver. I suppose 37:52 in Denver is 40+ elsewhere.
