Saturday, Dec. 14 at Heat, Loss 114-107

Just a few weeks after losing to the Heat at home, the Cavs once again fell to them, this time in Miami. LeBron James improved to 11-1 against his old team. The Cavaliers have struggled all year on offense, but this game they found a decent amount of success; instead, it was their defense that let ultimately caused the loss. LeBron, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh all scored over 20 points, with 25, 24 and 22 points, respectively. Bosh added 12 rebounds for a double-double, and LeBron just missed a triple-double, finishing with nine rebounds and nine assists to go along with his 25 points.

Irving had his weakest game of the week, scoring 19 points on 6-for-16 shooting. Waiters, Jarrett Jack and Earl Clark all reached double figures off the bench, but it was not enough to overcome the two-time defending champs. The Cavs trailed by 16 at the half and mustered a strong third quarter comeback, but the deficit proved insurmountable.
