Waiters continued his improved play off the bench, this game dropping 21 points. Varejao, also as a reserve, posted a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.

The Magic led for most of the game, carried by the strong play of rookie Victor Oladipo who scored 26 points, five rebounds, four assists, four steals, and three blocks. The Cavs trailed by nine in the third quarter, but controlled the fourth quarter, outscoring the Magic by 12 to seal the victory.
