The one positive thing of all the injuries is that players like Jon Leuer have been receiving more playing time and he is making the most of it. In the month of December he is averaging 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 54 percent from the field. In addition he is shooting 43 percent from 3, turning him into a stretch power forward.
Turnovers
Once again we have to point out the lack of help Tayshaun Prince is giving the Grizzlies at this point with all the injuries. For the month of December he is averaging 4.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and he did this by shooting 33 percent from the field. If Memphis hopes to make a playoff run they will need all hands on deck.
Looking Ahead
Tomorrow night the struggling Los Angeles Lakers head into Memphis for the battle for 12th place in the West. Then the Grizzlies head out on a two game road trip to the Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks. Finally, the last place Utah Jazz come to Memphis to round out the week. Again the Grizzlies really need to get back to their winning ways, hopefully they can win three out of four this week to get back on track.
