NBA: Player Rankings – Week 7
17. Damian Lillard (PG, Portland Trail Blazers)
As time goes on, people are beginning to realize that both Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers are for real. As the Blazers are 20-4 on the season and hold the second best record in the NBA, Lillard is a big part of their success this season as the Blazers hope to make an unforeseen title run. This season Lillard is averaging 20 points, 5.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game while posting a PER of 19.23, which ranks 11th among point guards. Along with fellow bash brother LaMarcus Aldridge, Lillard is showing that he is in no sophomore slump as he enters his second season, but is here to stay and plans on being part of the elite players group. With the Blazers having a history of dreadful draft choices, it looks like they got this one right in Damian Lillard.
