Daily NBA Fix 12-16-13: Lillard Beats Buzzer, Suns Shining

He’s been having a terrific year, so we’ll give him a bit of a pass for having a bad game. Kevin Martin scored nada in 19:20, taking just three shots in a win over the Memphis Grizzlies. We don’t expect to see Martin here again.

Clean and Sober Award (most minutes without taking a shot)

Darius Miller did something special. He played 6:33 and not only did he fail to attempt a shot, he failed to record a single statistic. Usually a guy will commit a foul or turnover at the very least, but not for Miller. All zeroes.

Iron Man Award (most minutes played)

Josh Smith played 45:33 in an overtime game to win our Iron Man award of the night and his 13-for-17 from the field was enough to be our top player as well. He still took two 3’s (come on Josh!) but that’s better than the usual amount, I guess.
