Many will disagree with the choice to place MCW in the second slot behind the leading man, but since his triple-double game against Orlando, Carter-Williams has not played in a game due to a knee injury/infection.
MCW’s averages of 17 points, five rebounds and seven assists are great considering most were uneasy to say he could be the leader and the future for the Philadelphia 76ers. Unforutnately, due to his missing time and the narrow margin in leading the next man by such a narrow margin, every day and every game counts.
Obviously Carter-Williams will have his shot to reclaim the top spot in the Rookie Rankings, but he just needs to get back on the court first. Until then, he will sit at the two-slot and hope that Burke doesn’t overtake him before he returns.
