Team they are trading with: Oklahoma City Thunder
Trade: Sixers receive Kendrick Perkins and Dallas’ 2014 1st Round Pick; OKC receives Thaddeus Young
Why the Sixers do the deal: Because Kendrick Perkins is a franchise-changing big man that could have a similar impact that Hakeem Olajuwon had on the Houston Rockets back in the 90s.
Jokes aside, Perkins makes them even worse. The salaries match up and Philly even get a pick for taking that god-awful contract.
Why the Thunder do the deal: Thaddeus Young gives the Thunder a hyper-competitve change-of-pace forward to either start in the frontcourt with Serge Ibaka, or to come off the bench and feast on second units.
