Appointment With Doc: Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce told ESPNNewYork.com that playing the Boston Celtics on Tuesday wasn’t the hard part. No, that will come Thursday night when the Los Angeles Clippers—and coach Doc Rivers—come to the Barclays Center. Garnett and Pierce played six seasons for Rivers with the Celtics, including winning an NBA title in 2008 and reaching the Finals in 2010. Garnett and Pierce missed the first meeting with the Clippers in L.A. last month because of injuries.

The Week That Was: The Nets lost to the Knicks 113-83 on Thursday, won at Milwaukee 90-82 on Saturday and beat the Celtics 104-96 on Tuesday.
