7. Los Angeles Clippers (15-8)

Last Week: 3-1
Previous Ranking: 7

Enter Captain Jack: The Clippers have signed 35-year-old Stephen Jackson as the team plays through injuries that have knocked out J.J. Redick, Matt Barnes and Reggie Bullock. The thinking is that Jackson, who last played last spring with the Spurs, could help in the rotation with some “3-and-D” work on the wings. It’s a chance for a guy to show he can still contribute after he was bounced out of the league by Gregg Popovich for reportedly not being willing to accept a diminished role.

The Week That Was: The Clippers won at Memphis 101-81 on Thursday, lost at Cleveland 88-82 on Saturday, won at Philadelphia 94-83 on Monday and won at Boston 96-88 on Wednesday.

The Numbers: 41.5% FG, 29.3% 3FG, 69.2% FT (27th), 42.8 RPG, 13.3 TOPG (t-4th), 93.3 PPG
The Opponents: 38% FG (2nd), 24.6% 3FG (4th), 76.6% FT, 47 RPG, 16.5 TOPG, 85 PPG (t-1st)

The Leaders: Chris Paul 18.8 PPG, DeAndre Jordan 13.5 RPG, Paul 11.3 APG, Paul 2.5 SPG, Jordan 2 BPG, Jordan 16-for-23 (69.6%) FG, Reggie Bullock 3-for-4 (75%) 3FG (2 games)
Don’t! Shooters: Willie Green 12-for-38 (31.6%) FG, Jared Dudley 3-for-17 (17.6%) 3FG
