Sat. Dec 7 vs. Clippers, Win 88-82

Coming into the season, many people had the Clippers pegged as title contenders. Currently, they sit in fourth place in the Western Conference, making the Cavs’ win over them extremely impressive. As was the case against Denver, defense guided the team to victory. The Clippers shot only 32.2 percent from the field and the Cavs held Los Angeles’ stars Chris Paul and Blake Griffin to a combined 23 points.

Thompson and Irving each had a game-high 20 points and Bynum came in close behind them with 18 points. Thompson once again controlled the glass and grabbed 13 rebounds. Worth noting, however, is the team’s persistent shooting struggles. They continued to have no offensive rhythm and shot only 37.3 percent from the field.
