Staying at the second spot of the Rookie Rankings is Victor Oladipo of the Orlando Magic.
What a week it was for Mr. Oladipo. Orlando went into Philadelphia with the highly anticipated rookie matchup of Oladipo versus Michael Carter-Williams and it did not disappoint. Oladipo finished with a triple-double (26 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) becoming the second rookie this season to do so.
To top off the week, Oladipo had an emphatic block on Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony on an attempted dunk. Needless to say, it was a good week for Victor.
Unfortunately, while Oladipo has been great for the Magic this season, it has not led to much success for Orlando, who currently have a 6-13 record. Don’t expect the wins to come, but Oladipo’s play has been splendid to the future for the Magic.
However, if the Rookie of the Year race was contingent on vocal ability, Oladipo would be first in every single ranking.
