Make no mistake about it: the Utah Jazz need Trey Burke.
As mentioned earlier, the Jazz have already won two games with Burke on the floor in nine games (Jazz earned one victory in the 12 games Burke missed at the beginning of the season). Burke, along with Gordon Hayward, combined for 50 points in a huge 109-103 home victory over the Houston Rockets this past Monday.
Even with the smallest sample size of all the high profile rookies, Trey Burke has quickly risen from unranked to third in the Rookie Rankings because of his contributions and importance to the Utah Jazz. Utah goes as Burke goes. So far it’s been working out. It will still take some time to put all the pieces to the puzzle together but it should be fun to watch Burke run the show.
