26. Brooklyn Nets (5-13)

Last Week: 1-2
Previous Ranking: 26

Parting Is Such Great Sorrow: Lawrence Frank, the $1 million per year assistant coach, became the first head to roll during Brooklyn’s disastrous start as he was “reassigned” by head coach Jason Kidd. This was about as much of a surprise as DeMarcus Cousins losing his temper … Kidd and Frank didn’t exactly have days of wine and roses as point guard and head coach in New Jersey, don’t forget.

The Week That Was: The Nets lost at Houston 114-95 on Friday, won at Memphis 97-88 the following night and lost to the Nuggets 111-87 on Tuesday.

The Numbers: 42.6% FG (28th), 30.4% 3FG (27th), 72.3% FT, 93 PPG (t-27th)

The Opponents: 50% FG (28th), 50.8% 3FG (30th), 73.3% FT, 104.3 PPG

The Leaders: Joe Johnson 17.7 ppg, Reggie Evans 6.0 rpg (2 games), Tyshawn Taylor 4.7 apg, Mason Plumlee 1.3 spg, Brook Lopez 1 bpg, Johnson 19-for-40 (47.5%) FG, Andray Blatche 3-for-5 (60%) 3FG

Don’t! Shooters: Taylor 12-for-34 (35.3%) FG, Alan Anderson 3-for-10 (30%) 3FG
