Defense wins championships right? That is a lesson the Nuggets seemed to learn early this year. Denver’s defense was mediocre at best in the first 10 games of the season–allowing 100 or more points in six of the 10 games. Yikes. During their current six-game winning streak the Nuggets have been allowing only 97.6 points per game. Not a great defensive average, but a huge improvement from allowing 105.6 points in their first 10 outings. A high scoring game is expected based off the pace that the Nuggets like to play at, but if they want to win at a consistent bases they have to keep opponents under 100 a game.
