Houston Rockets 112, SAN ANTONIO SPURS 106

It’s Not Unusual – Tom Jones would be so proud. On the same night that his alma mater Arizona State rolled over their hated rival University of Arizona, James Harden poured in 31 points with seven rebounds and six assists in a meaningful win in San Antonio. Terrence Jones hauled in 16 rebounds and the Rockets avoided a major collapse late. The Spurs got 27 points, six rebounds and eight assists from Tony Parker in defeat.

Utah Jazz 112, PHOENIX SUNS 104

Deadeye Shooters – Who knew the Jazz could make open jumpers? They shot 51.3 percent from the field, 50 percent from three and 86.2 percent from the free-throw line as the Suns couldn’t find the energy and speed to rotate quick enough. Trey Burke had 20 points with two steals to lead seven players in double figures. The Suns got 24 points and nine assists from Goran Dragic in the loss.
