Denver Nuggets 117, MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES 110
Lots of Options – The Nuggets shot 51.1 percent as a team, with eight different players in double figures. Ty Lawson led the way with 23 points, four assists and two steals. The Nuggets move to 8-6, which has to be surprising considering the losses and injuries they’ve been dealing with. Perhaps a six or seven seed in their future? On the other side, the Wolves continue to struggle. Kevin Martin scored 29, Kevin Love scored 19 with 15 rebounds and Ricky Rubio added 17, 11 assists and two steals.
OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER 94, San Antonio Spurs 88
Streak Buster – The Thunder held the Spurs to just 39.1 percent shooting in a very impressive home win that could be a showcase of the Western Conference Finals. Kevin Durant scored 24 with 13 rebounds and four assists, with Serge Ibaka adding 17, 11 rebounds and five blocks. Reggie Jackson stepped up with 23 points off the bench to make up for an off night from Russell Westbrook (2-for-16 FG). Kawhi Leonard scored 14 with 10 rebounds and four steals in the loss.
