Daily NBA Fix 11-28-13: Streaks Be Damned
HOUSTON ROCKETS 113, Atlanta Hawks 84
Benched – The Rockets bench came alive, scoring 67 points, led by Francisco Garcia and Aaron Brooks‘ 21 points each. Omer Asik added 10 points and nine rebounds as well, so maybe he’s coming out of his pity party. The bad news is that Jeremy Lin suffered a right knee bruise and had to leave after only 4:09 of play. The Hawks got 16 from Paul Millsap but overall looked uninterested and horrible.
Washington Wizards 100, MILWAUKEE BUCKS 92 (OT)
One Streak Ends, Another Continues – John Wall‘s 30-point scoring streak has come to an end, but the Wizards three-game winning streak is still going. Wall scored 19 with six assists and five steals, while Marcin Gortat went 11-of-12 from the field to score 25 points with eight rebounds and two blocks. The Bucks continue to circle the drain (more on that later), getting 21 from O.J. Mayo on 9-of-23 shooting.
