Welcome back to another edition of the Daily NBA Fix! Today is Wednesday, November 13th and apparently home is definitely where the heart is. The home teams went undefeated on a rather light Tuesday night in the NBA, due to college basketball getting underway. Let’s get into it.

Tuesday’s Results (home team in CAPS)

DALLAS MAVERICKS 105, Washington Wizards 95

Mavs BalancedMonta Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki scored 19 each with Vince Carter adding 16 off the bench for the surprising 5-3 Mavericks. DeJuan Blair chipped in with 11 rebounds off the bench (imagine what he could do with ligaments). The Wizards got 27 points and four steals from Trevor Ariza, with Marcin Gortat scoring 12 with 12 rebounds and four blocks.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS 113, Detroit Pistons 95

Splash TrioAndre Iguodala, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson hit two 3-pointers each in a rout of the visiting Pistons. Iggy added 11 assists and two steals, while Curry had eight assists and scored 25 points (9-for-9 FT). Jermaine O’Neal turned back the clock and scored 17 with six rebounds off the bench. The Pistons got 16 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and three blocks from the stud known as Andre Drummond. For those wondering — Josh Smith 0-for-2 from the 3-point line.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS 116, New Orleans Pelicans 95

Jordan Dominates – How many times have the Los Angeles faithful seen that headline? Luckily, it was Jordan Hill leading the charge, scoring 21 points with 11 rebounds, two steals and a block. The Lakers crushed the Pelicans 53-31 on the glass, accumulated 33 assists and shot 55.7 percent from the floor. The Pelicans got 17 points and three steals from Eric Gordon in this ugly loss.

MIAMI HEAT 118, Milwaukee Bucks 95

LeBron Hulk Mode – Don’t make him angry. You won’t like him when he’s angry. LeBron James backed up his talk by scoring an easy 33 points in 30 minutes in against the hapless Bucks. Michael Beasley scored 19 off the bench, while Dwyane Wade added eight points, eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks. Gary Neal and John Henson scored 18 each off the bench for Milwaukee.

Random Tidbits and News

Dirk Nowitzki passed Jerry West on the NBA scoring list and now has 25,197 points…Andre Drummond is a stud but attempting no free-throws just can’t happen…John Wall took just 10 shots in a loss to the Mavericks…which was three more than Dwyane Wade took in 31 minutes…Jrue Holiday is shooting just 36.9 percent this season, by far the worst of his career…No surprise that James Harden leads the league in minutes played, but No. 2 is a surprise — it’s his teammate Chandler Parsons.
